Gene Mollica's Staked cover

Now that Amazon has it posted on the pre-order page for the mass market version of Staked, I guess it's okay to post here. The folks over at Pocket were so pleased with the look of ReVamped's cover that they powers that be went ahead and tapped Gene Mollica to do a new cover for Staked... one was more in keeping with the look of the ReVamped cover. Here it is by itself:

And here it is side by side with the original Chris McGrath cover:

I like that Gene worked El Alma Perdida into the cover and that the scene is taking place outside. I also dig the way Chris McGrath gave his original cover such a cool classic noir feel.

So? What do you guys think?

Cover Art for ReVamped

Well, as some of you may have notice (Hi, Jerry) Amazon has some cover art up for ReVamped. Currently, that version has the wrong quote, but this one doesn't:

The cover artist is Gene Mollica this time around and I think he did a great job! :)

Woohoo! Take a look at my totally awesome cover! It looks even better in person, too, with the foil effect they're using on the title. Chris McGrath's fantastic artwork is sure to draw attention to the book! (Thanks, Chris!)

And... a big thank you goes out to Jennifer Heddle over at Simon & Schuster for sending me a copy of the image well in advance of the cover flats (in time for Dragon*Con), and for giving me permission to post it here.
